About Us

Grupo Cafu Capoeira Colorado is a branch of the main group which is based in Houston, Texas. The group started when a few students from texas moved to boulder colorado in 2006. We started training in the University of Colorado, which has served as home base in Boulder. The group is lead by Leomar Mendez (Papagayo) who has been with the main group since he moved to the US. from Merida, Venezuela in 2004. The group has been growing steadily since its founding
